Dogs can learn things like behaving well right before they're offered a treat and knowing when they should go outside and when they should come back in without being told. In addition, blue pit bulls can learn to be very calm when they have their collar put on and will even learn to be patient when the leash is attached to their collar.  Dogs can even be taught to respect when they should and shouldn't jump on the couch.
